 Charles William "Craig" Peoples, Sheriff

Charles Wiliam "Craig" Peoples, SheriffHello, my name is Charles William "Craig" Peoples.  I am a lifelong resident of Pendleton County.  I was raised on the family farm in Boston by my parents Charles F. and Theresa Buerkley Peoples.  I have two brothers Jake and Nathan Peoples and one sister Amy Peoples.  I have two son's Evan and Bradford and I am married to Miranda (Rumford) from Bracken County.  I am a 1986 graduate of Pendleton County High School, 1994 graduate from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, Kentucky, commissioned Kentucky Colonel and awarded the Kentucky Sheriffs Association Co-Deputy of the Year in 1997, and am a certified Clandestine Lab Investigator by the DEA.  My family and I attend Antioch Mills Christian Church.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first term as Sheriff.  We have made great strides in drug trafficking and manufacturing cases as well as providing the best service possible to the Citizens of Pendleton County.  As we move forward into our next term we will remain committed to fighting the use of drugs in Pendleton County on every possible moment and will attempt to make necessary improvements in our short comings.

As Sheriff I am committed to finding new and innovative ways to increase technology and manpower, prevent duplication of services within the Sheriff's Office, and to increase the efficiency and the effectiveness of the department by making clear and concise decisions that will benefit the community as a whole.

So I will strive to do my very best as Sheriff of Pendleton County and to serve the people who had faith and put me into this position.
